Upward in Ukraine features Soccer(Football) and Basketball leagues and camps throughout the country. Coaches from the community and the local church have joined together to create an opportunity for children from all walks of life to come together and experience a league based on the idea that "Every child is a WINNER". Quality player kits, quality leadership and quality coaching are all part of the Upward program in Ukraine. Upward Sports in Ukraine History

In 2003 God opened the door for Upward soccer camps in Odessa Ukraine. Two summer missionaries from Pinelake Baptist Church spent the summer introducing Upward principles to Ukrainian nationals through 10 weeks of soccer camps. God used the summer outreach of 2003 to cast a vision and plant seeds for this ministry in Ukraine.

Кажде воскресенье в Церкви дети подходят и спрашивают, когда же начнется новая лига? На протяжении прошлого сезона, я обратил внимание на то, как сплотились члены церкви для осуществления нашей главной цели - создать возможность для служения через спортивные программы, чтобы дети могли узнать об Иисусе Христе. Для детей и их родителей открывается еще одна дверь в Церковь. Upward показывает Церкви, как можно шире посмотреть на еангелизм. Надеюсь, в будущем это служение будет развиваться и этого я желаю не только своей Церкви, но и всем Церквям Украины, поскольку вижу большую нужду в подобном служении.

"Every Sunday children come up to and ask me when the next league is going to be. During the last league, I noticed how members of the church joined together to fulfill a purpose- to introduce Jesus to children through sports ministry. Another door opens for children and their parents through sports ministry. Upward has shown the church how to widen its vision of evangelism. I hope that in the future this ministry will grow and expand and I wish this not only for my church, but for all of the churches of Ukraine, because I see the big need for this ministry."
